Networking Support

Bring organizations together to exchange ideas and experiences

One of the values of the Business Excellence Consortium (BEC) is its networking support. This includes facilitating informal groups, arranging plant tours, and providing a flow of information about upcoming events.

Special Interest Groups (SIG) and Plant Tours

In most areas, the BEC arranges for organizations with similar interests, such as Lean, to meet at least quarterly and discuss common issues. Typically, this is at an organization’s site and involves a plant tour. It may also include a presentation by the host organization on their application of a specific continuous improvement method.

Seminars

BEC member organizations receive reduced rates on seminars and training courses. Many times, the low membership fee is amortized within a few seminars or a single training course. For more information on membership, go to http://bec.msoe.edu/membership.php

Resource Access

The BEC is uniquely positioned to provide you and your organization with the resources and subject matter experts that fit your needs. Being a part of the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) gives us, and you, access to experts in many diverse fields as well as MSOE’s Fluid Power Institute, Rapid Prototyping Center and Applied Technology Center, to name a few. Or, you can use MSOE's Placement Office to locate qualified candidates for your open positions.
