Business Excellence ConsortiumOperational SupportImplementing programs and events to accomplish enterprise-wide initiatives or projectsAt the operational level, MSOE’s Business Excellence Consortium (BEC) assists in two important ways. First, our Business Performance Consultants deploy the resources necessary to accomplish enterprise-wide goals. Secondly, many times organizations request the BEC to deliver specific training programs an organization has determined are needed to accomplish a project-oriented goal. For example, the BEC works with many companies who have periodic requirements to train or retrain individuals. Deployment Plan ImplementationAchieving strategic goals through a deployment plan requires knowledgeable and experienced individuals to implement it. Our Business Performance Consultants have that knowledge and experience to help guide your mid-level managers and supervisors through the process. This can include:
On-site TrainingAs part of the deployment plan, the BEC can provide on-site training, using recognized experts. Our instructors not only are proven trainers, they are seasoned practitioners in their areas of expertise. Their approach involves the transfer of knowledge along with hands-on applications. These training courses are tailored to your organization’s specific needs. Business and Services Healthcare Construction Information Technology In-house Expertise DevelopmentThe BEC does not just provide training, we help you develop internal expertise so that you can sustain the training results. Many of the training programs offer certificates or certifications. Also, you could have selected individuals receive additional training so that they can lead performance efforts. For example, training Master Six Sigma Black Belts or Lean Master Facilitators who would then be responsible for leading their respective efforts and providing additional training to your workforce. On-Site SeminarsBesides training programs, the BEC offers organizations half-day and full-day seminars that introduce best practices to your organization. These short, but informative, seminars can be structured for any level within your organization, i.e., middle management, front line supervisors, and nonsupervisory personnel. Topics can range from an overview of Lean to team building to safety isssues and more. Key Performance Indicator DevelopmentBefore implementing any programs, the BEC identifies benchmarks, or performance indicators, that will be used to assess the outcomes of training or other programs. Instead of just setting benchmarks for the specific program, we also establish long-term key performance indicators to track how well the training is put to use. Through continuous monitoring, the BEC works with the organization to insure sustainability of the outcomes. |
